United States Lies, Pearl Harbor, Hiroshima and Nagasaki untold Death & Destruction

The United States Government has always lied to its citizens with regularity in its history and the bombings and senseless Murder and Destruction at Pearl Harbor, Hiroshima and Nagasaki are no exception.

Yes the Japanese did bomb Pearl Harbor with 2897 Americans killed, 879 wounded, and 26 missing. It was an egregious act of cowardice; however did FDR know it would occur?

Pearl Harbor did President Franklin Delano Roosevelt know of the attack?

There are many who believe that President Franklin Delano Roosevelt did in fact know the attack was imminent. However at the time the USA was in an isolationist frame of mind and wanted no part of the conflict in Europe. This after the great loss of American lives in World War I; there were more than nine million soldiers and civilian deaths in that conflict on both sides.

After World War I the United States had become a country without a moral compass its citizens were only interested in their own lives and were not ready to suffer anymore causalities to another conflict. Remember that WWII started in 1939 and that the United States did not enter the war until the attack by the Japanese on December 7^th, 1941 a full two years after the conflict had begun. The United States government wanted to enter World War II, but they needed a reason to get the people of the country to support their plans.

The bombing of Pearl Harbor could not have come at a better time and was seen as a way for FDR and as a byproduct the United States of America, to engage the people of this country in the conflict because of its horrific aftermath.

There were accounts that the United States had not broken the all important Japanese military codes prior to the attack, this was in fact a lie. There are now documents that have been released which paint a very frightening picture.

One out of the more than eighty three messages intercepted by the US Navy which were sent by the Japanese Admiral Yamamoto to his fleet commanders is the most damning which read in part, “…the task force, keeping its movements strictly secret and maintaining close guard against submarines and aircraft, shall advance into Hawaiian waters, and upon the very opening of hostilities shall attack the main force of the United States fleet in Hawaii and deal it a mortal blow…”, this was sent November 25^th 1941.

A future Presidential hopeful and opponent for FDR in the next election Thomas Dewey became aware that the Japanese code had previously been broken prior to the Pearl Harbor attack. He had hoped to use this against FDR in the 1944 election. His desire was to do a series of political speeches where he would charge that FDR new of the attacks and did nothing to overt the pending doom in Hawaii.

However the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General George Marshall talked to Thomas Dewey and told him that the Japanese were not aware that their code had been broken. Rather than place our American forces in harms way by compromising their intelligence gathering capabilities, Dewey relented and no speeches were given, FDR went on to win the election of 1944.

It was also previously stated that the Japanese Navy operated under strict radio silence this again was another lie otherwise the US Navy would not have intercepted eighty three messages that were sent to the Japanese fleet.

There were also those that were present when FDR heard the news of the attack on Pearl Harbor and they observed, “The President’s surprise was not as great as that of other men around him. Nor was the attack unwelcome. It had ended the past months of uncertainty caused by FDR’s decision that Japan must be seen to make the first overt move.”

It is more than probable that because of this cold calculating mindset that over 2897 American soldiers died needlessly just to give the United States the needed political and national momentum to enter the war.

The Bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki

Why did President Truman order the slaughter of Seventy Thousand people in Hiroshima and another 40 to 70 thousand in Nagasaki and give the United States of America the historical distinction of being the only country in the world which has ever used a Nuclear device to devastate and destroy a nation?

The names were comical, Fat-man and Little Boy but the aftermath of their use in Japan was far from being anything of the sort. Little Boy was dropped on Hiroshima on August 6^th, 1945. Fat Man was dropped a few days later on Nagasaki on August 9^th, 1945 with their deadly payloads.

But why did the US unleash this untold death and destruction when Japan clearly wanted to surrender? The Soviet’s under their leader Joseph Stalin, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and United States President Harry S. Truman all knew that the Emperor of Japan had accepted the terms of an unconditional surrender 19 days before the first atomic bomb was dropped.

President Truman knew the Japanese wanted to surrender however he was not going to allow the Soviet Union to be the peace broker as he feared they would gain the upper hand. He wanted to show the Soviet government and the world at large the destructive power that the United States had in its arsenal the loss of human life was just an afterthought to be dismissed.

From President Truman’s own handwritten diary an entry on July 18th, 1945, “Discussed Manhattan (it is a success). Decided to tell Stalin about it. Stalin had told P.M. (Churchill) of telegram from Jap emperor asking for peace…” This was nineteen days before the bombings, he knew yet he pursued the path of death and destruction.

Another diary entry this from an assistant to Secretary of State James F. Byrnes by Walter Brown, the entry from August 3^rd, 1945. It was written that Byrnes, Admiral William D. Leahy and President Truman,”agrred [sic] Japas [sic] looking for peace. (Leahy had another report from Pacific) President afraid they will sue for peace through Russia instead of some country like Sweden.”

Manhattan Project scientist Leo Szilard recalled what Byrnes thought process was; “(Byrnes) was concerned about Russia’s postwar behavior. Russian troops had moved into Hungary and Rumania, and Byrnes thought it would be very difficult to persuade Russia to withdraw her troops from these countries, that Russia might be more manageable if impressed by American military might, and that a demonstration of the bomb might impress Russia.”

Yet President Truman bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki even though the Japanese government clearly wanted to surrender, all for the political gain the US would realize.

The United States stated that by dropping these bombs countless American soldiers’ lives would be saved. But no saving was needed the Japanese wanted to end the war and they unfortunately engaged the Soviet Union as their emissary, because of this for the first time in the history of the world Nuclear bombs were dropped for no reason other than to strengthen the mighty hand of the United States of America.

As a footnote in regards to the current Middle Eastern conflict in Iraq as well as the problems facing Israel, it is worth noting that the superpowers of the world in 1948 created the current atrocities. Again for personal gain the Middle East was chopped up and artificial countries and borders were created by the superpowers for economic and political reasons. If this had not occurred the war in which we are presently involved in would have never even been started in the first place. If the USA had never placed permanent military installations in Saudi Arabia the Twin Towers would still be part of the New York skyline as well for Osama bin Laden and his hatred for the United States would have never manifested itself within his mind.

When will the superpowers of the world learn, how many have to needlessly die?

There are over 1.1 million internally displaced Iraq citizens many of them of the Shiite sect. Although the Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki is of the Shiite sect he does not seem to be overly concerned with their plight and daily suffering. The number of displaced has grown dramatically since the bombing of the Shiite shrine in Samarra in February 2006.

They have been left to fend for themselves drinking brown polluted water that they have retrieved from local ditches. This ingestion of the local water from ditches as well as the millions of flies increases their probability of incubating a plethora of diseases to add to their plight of suffrage.

Russian President Vladimir Putin warns the US again on Iran

Russian President Vladimir Putin took the opportunity during a three hour televised question and answer session to further criticize the United States government. President Putin again voiced his extreme disappointment at US plans to deploy a missile defense system in neighboring Russian countries in Central Europe.

Iraq Continues its Decent into Turmoil as the Turkish Government enters the War

Much to the chagrin of Iraq and George W Bush who started this unwarranted needless killing field known as the Iraq conflict another player has emerged onto the field.

The Turkish parliament has now with it’s blessing given the government permission to launch military operations into Iraq in pursuit of Kurdish rebels. The government of Turkey stated that no military operations are imminent; however they now reserve the right to enter Iraq and pursue Kurdish rebels at their discretion. Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan was backed by a vote of 507 votes to 19 by the Turkish parliament.

This decision was in direct defiance of both Iraq and the United States government wishes who pleaded with Turkey to not take any action in the conflict. Mr. Bush stated, “Washington was making it clear to Turkey it is not in their interest to send more troops in… there is a better way to deal with the issue”.

Bush insinuates that if Iran gets a Nuclear bomb Iran may start World War III

On Wednesday during a White House news conference President Bush stated, “We’ve got a leader in Iran who has announced that he wants to destroy Israel,”

Fact:

• The statement above is somewhat questionably attributed to the President of Iran depending on the translation.
• The real power in Iran is the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the supreme leader, whose role combines civil and religious authority. Ahmadinejad is only the President; he is not the head of state or the commander in chief.
• The President of Iran does not have the authority to start or launch any War!

Bush further stated, “”So I’ve told people that, if you’re interested in avoiding World War III, it seems like you ought to be interested in preventing them from having the knowledge necessary to make a nuclear weapon.”

Fact:

• The U.S. is the only country to have used nuclear weapons in combat.
• The U.S. arsenal of weapons of mass destruction is among the largest in the world; second only to Russia’s.
• As of 1999, the U.S. was said to have 12,000 nuclear weapons of all types stockpiled.
• In its Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START) declaration for 2003, the U.S. listed 5968 deployed warheads as defined by START rules.
• For 2004, the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists listed the U.S. with about 7,000 operational and 3,000 reserve warheads.
• In 2002, the United States and Russia agreed in the SORT treaty to reduce their deployed stockpiles to not more than 2,200 warheads each. In 2003, the US rejected Russian proposals to further reduce both nations’ nuclear stockpiles to 1,500 each.

Screw the Uninsured working class poor let them get a job!

There are so many American citizens that will recite that they have made it and have a home and health insurance. They will often say that the uninsured are not their problem and they do not want to pay increased taxes to deal with the 46 million uninsured Americans. They will say that they worked hard to get what they have and the uninsured are lazy and need to get a job so they will quite complaining all the time.

There is a problem with this argument as disease knows no Socio-Economic boundaries and these diseases will infect anyone regardless of wealth or stature. Diseases only want to infect, grow, mutate, multiply and live on to infect another host without regard to social stature. So for those Americans who say I have mine the hell with the poor, remember that by not addressing the healthcare crisis you or your child may die.

The United States of America and the Functional Illiterates who contribute to its Decline

Functional illiteracy in the United States is growing at a rate of over 2 million new inductees per year into its ranks and the tide will only grow stronger if current educational policies are not changed to address the problem. The Presidential legislation of No Child Left Behind is not working and the country as a whole is now and will in the future suffer the consequences.

Statistics show that functional illiterates in this country;

1. Constitute 70% of the prisoners in state and federal prisons
2. That 85% of juvenile offenders are classified as functionally or marginally illiterate
3. That 43% of those with the lowest literacy skills live in poverty
4. Over 42 million American adults can’t read
5. 50 million read at fourth or fifth grade levels
6. That the total number of functionally illiterate adults increases by approximately 2.25 million persons every single year

Bush Administration Lies on Torture, well at least it’s not Unexpected they have no Morals!

Recent documents have come to light that while the Bush Administration stated they would not use torture, they in fact did. Many foreign governments and intelligence agency specialists have also reported that the Torture of prisoners is extremely questionable. The information gathered is of little use as the tortured prisoner will tell the torturer anything they want to stop the pain and suffering.

The Torture techniques include painful physical and psychological methods, which include simulated drowning (water-boarding), frigid temperatures and head slapping to name just a few.

Wal-Mart Loses Again

A recent ruling in Pennsylvania dealt another blow to the retail giant Wal-Mart.

A Wal-Mart spokeswoman was quoted as saying, “Many employees testified that they skipped rest breaks by choice. While we discourage that practice, employers should not be penalized when employees do that on their own,” said the spokeswoman, Sharon Weber.

It appears as though the jury didn’t buy that thought process and awarded the workers $62.3 million dollars this along with an award they had already received for $78.5 million dollars puts the totality of the Pennsylvania judgments against Wal-Mart at $140.8 million dollars.

Veto of Children’s Health Insurance Program, screw’s 6 million children

Over 43 million American people lack health insurance including 6 million children or 9% of our young adults in the USA.

It was six years into his presidency before George W Bush grabbed his Veto pen and today was another instance. However when he Vetoed this bill it was behind closed doors with no media or news coverage, I for one would imagine he was ashamed and attempting to hide from the world this day.

The bipartisan bill approved by the Senate was veto proof, yet the House of Representatives lacked the needed votes to override this miscarriage of justice on our fellow Americans, including 6 million children.

The cost of the bill would have been funded by 61 cents to a dollar per pack tax on cigarettes. I for one smoke and would welcome another reason to quit this disgusting habit which has killed millions.

George W Bush has not used his Veto pen with regularity as he has mostly gotten what he wanted and the then Republican controlled congress gave it to him with a gleam in their eyes. But now the stakes have changed and he is further distancing himself from the American people he swore to protect and serve.

He has only grabbed his little buddy the Veto Pen four times during his presidency. If it’s not about making money foreign bases or oil fields, well you just can’t seem to get his interest it seems.

I have one grown daughter and she has health insurance, I also have a conscience and compassion for the 43 million American citizens and the 6 million children of this nation who do not have health insurance.

Middle Eastern Peace Process Summit to occur in November

The countries of the European Union, Russia and the USA as well as the United Nations have agreed to include Saudi Arabia, Syria as well as ten Arab League members to the summit. How kind of them to invite those who would be most affected by the peace talks as they are being called.

The talks are being put forth to find an Israeli-Palestinian peace plan, however these talks would not have been necessary if in 1948 the world’s superpowers after World War II had not carved up the Middle East so horribly in the first place for political and economic gains.

Condoleezza Rice stated that the Arab nations are as she calls them “natural invitees” but said they would have to renounce violence. Think of it the United States telling others to renounce violence as they have invaded and are still at war in Afghanistan and Iraq. In the realm of reality how could anyone take Condoleezza Rice seriously? And how does she have the gall to make such statements with the way the US government is acting in this day and age, especially in the Middle East?

The committee on Oversight and Government Reform made clear that hearings will commence on October 2, 2007 in regards to Blackwater USA, the private contractor used by our government in Afghanistan and Iraq.
